Denver Portrait Photographer - A Frida Khalo Inspired Photoshoot
When I was a kid, my mother introduced me to Frida Kahlo's artwork. I was immediately fascinated by how different it was from anything I had ever seen. Through the years, as I have learned more about who she was and how she chose to live her life, I have come to truly admire her. This Frida inspired photoshoot is meant to honor her!
I was joined by Elora, a beautiful singer/model, and Vanessa, a very talented stylist and blogger. Our gorgeous floral headpiece was created by the amazing florist Ladybird Poppy. We decided to try to find florals to compliment the look at the Denver Botanic Gardens off of York, and fell madly in love with what we were able to create there.
I cannot speak highly enough of the ladies that helped make this photoshoot possible. Here are the results!
“I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me, too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it’s true I’m here, and I’m just as strange as you.”
