Kajabi Review 2026: An Honest Look from Someone Who Built a Six-Figure Business on It

My verdict in two sentences
Kajabi is the platform I built my six-figure course business on, and it is the best all-in-one option for creators who are serious about selling digital products. The only real downside is full price, and the current 3-months-for-$99 intro offer takes that off the table while you build and launch.
Before you sign up, it is worth seeing the full plan-by-plan cost breakdown in my Kajabi pricing guide so you start on the right plan.
There are a lot of Kajabi reviews written by people who signed up for a trial, poked around, and wrote about the features they found. This is not that.
I ran my photography course Personal Branding Breakthrough through Kajabi. I ran entrepreneur programs through Kajabi. For several years in a row those courses were the biggest revenue-generating products my business had ever produced multiple six figures, consistently. I am still on Kajabi today.
So when I tell you what Kajabi is good at and where it has limitations, it is coming from years of real use, real students, and real revenue. Not a trial account.
Here is everything I know.
Kajabi is an all-in-one platform for creators who sell digital products, courses, memberships, coaching programs, and communities. It combines course hosting, email marketing, sales funnels, landing pages, checkout, and a website builder in a single platform.
The pitch is simple: instead of paying for and connecting five different tools to run your digital business, Kajabi is all of them in one place.
Having used both approaches, the stitched-together WordPress and Squarespace setup and then Kajabi, I can tell you the difference in practice is significant.

Who Kajabi Is Built For
Kajabi works best for:
Who want to deliver a structured learning experience to students. The course builder is intuitive, the student portal is clean and professional, and the delivery experience reflects well on your brand.
Who want to package their expertise into a program, a membership, or a community with recurring revenue.
Who want to sell presets, workshops, educational programs, or behind the scenes content without building a complex technical setup.
Who are currently paying for a website platform, email marketing software, a course host, and a checkout system separately and want to bring everything under one roof.
If you are in one of those categories and you are serious about generating revenue from what you know, Kajabi is built for you.
What I Actually Used Kajabi For
My main product on Kajabi was Personal Branding Breakthrough, a photography course for photographers wanting to offer brand photography in their business. Hundreds of students came through that program over the years.
The three features that made the biggest difference to my results:
Kajabi's email system is genuinely powerful. I built sequences that ran automatically after purchase, re-engagement campaigns for students who had not logged in, and launch sequences that converted leads into buyers without me manually doing anything. The automation is the kind of thing that makes your business feel bigger than it is because it is working even when you are not.
Every successful launch I ran used Kajabi pipelines. Opt-in page, thank you page, email sequence, sales page, checkout, all built inside Kajabi and connected automatically. I did not need a separate funnel tool. I did not need to connect anything with Zapier. It just worked.
The student portal is clean, branded, and professional. Students never felt like they were accessing a generic platform, it felt like my business. Progress tracking, drip content scheduling, quizzes, and completion certificates all built in.
Kajabi Features: What Actually Matters
Courses and Digital Products
Kajabi's course builder lets you create structured content with videos, text, audio, PDFs, and quizzes. You control whether content drips out on a schedule or is available immediately. The student experience is clean and mobile-friendly.
You can sell a single course, a bundle of courses, a membership with recurring billing, a coaching program with limited access, or a community. All of those are built-in product types, you are not hacking the platform to make them work.
Email Marketing
Full email marketing is included in every Kajabi plan. Broadcasts for one-time sends, sequences for automated flows, and tagging based on student behavior. You can segment your list, trigger emails based on actions (purchased a product, watched a video, did not complete a module), and build sophisticated automations without needing a separate tool.
For anyone currently paying for ConvertKit, Mailchimp, or a similar email platform alongside a course tool, this alone can justify the Kajabi subscription.
Pipelines and Funnels
Kajabi calls its funnel builder Pipelines. You can build complete sales funnels with pre-built templates, opt-in funnel, product launch funnel, webinar funnel, free course funnel. Each template gives you the pages, emails, and automations pre-connected. You fill in your content and launch.
This is where I saw the most direct revenue impact. Having the funnel, the email sequence, and the checkout all in one place with no integration failures or technical gaps made launching feel manageable in a way it did not when I was connecting separate tools.
Website and Landing Pages
Every Kajabi account includes a full website builder. You can run your entire online presence from Kajabi if you want, home page, about page, blog, and all your product pages. The website builder is functional and produces professional results, though it is not as flexible as a fully custom WordPress build.
For most creators who want a clean, functional site that converts visitors into buyers, Kajabi's website builder is more than enough.
Communities
Kajabi added community features that allow you to create a private social space for your students or members. This competes directly with Circle and Mighty Networks for creators who want an engaged community alongside their course.
Analytics and Reporting
Kajabi tracks opt-ins, purchases, revenue, email open rates, click rates, video completion, and student progress in one dashboard. Having all of that in one place rather than pulling from five different tools saves significant time and gives you a clearer picture of what is actually working.
Kajabi Pricing
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | You Save with Annual |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $179/month | $1,716/year | $432/year |
| Growth | $249/month | $2,388/year | $600/year |
| Pro | $499/month | $4,788/year | $1,200/year |
Current offer: your first 3 months for $99 total, which works out to $33 a month while you build and launch.
The honest truth about Kajabi pricing is that it is designed for people who are generating revenue from their digital products. At full price the Basic plan at $179 a month requires you to be making sales to justify it comfortably.
The 3-months-for-$99 intro offer changes that calculation significantly. For $99 total you get three full months to build, launch, and start generating revenue before standard pricing begins. That is a much more reasonable risk for someone getting started.
For most people starting out I recommend the Basic plan. It includes 5 products, 1 community, unlimited funnels and landing pages, unlimited marketing emails, and 1 website. The Growth plan at $249 a month adds 50 products, advanced automations, and your own affiliate program, which becomes relevant once you are scaling beyond your initial launch.
I break down every plan, the annual math, the fees nobody mentions, and a calculator that shows what Kajabi actually costs at your revenue level in my full Kajabi pricing guide. It is also worth checking my current Kajabi coupon codes before you sign up, so you get the best available deal on the day you buy.

Kajabi Email Marketing: What It Can Actually Do
Kajabi's email marketing is one of the two features that made the biggest difference to my revenue, the other being pipelines. Having email fully integrated with your course platform and checkout means you can build automations that would require three separate tools to replicate elsewhere.
Here is what Kajabi email marketing actually includes:
One-time email sends to your full list or a segment of it. You design them in Kajabi's drag-and-drop editor, schedule them or send immediately, and track opens and clicks inside the same dashboard where you track your course revenue.
Automated email series that trigger based on a specific event, someone opts in to a lead magnet, purchases a course, or gets tagged with a specific label. I used sequences extensively for post-purchase onboarding, getting students into the habit of logging in, and re-engaging people who had gone quiet. Once built they run without you.
Take sequences further. You can trigger email sequences based on student behavior, watched a specific video, completed a module, did not log in for 7 days. You can tag people based on what they click inside emails and build branching follow-up based on those tags. This is the kind of automation that makes your business feel bigger than it is because it is running in the background while you do other things.
Lets you send targeted emails to subsets of your list, people who bought a specific product, people tagged with a certain label, people who have not made a purchase yet. Clean segmentation is what separates effective email marketing from blasting the same message to everyone.
For anyone currently paying for ConvertKit, ActiveCampaign, or Mailchimp alongside a separate course platform, Kajabi's email system is genuinely capable enough to replace both.
Kajabi Integrations: What It Connects With
One of the most common questions about an all-in-one platform is whether it plays well with other tools. Kajabi integrates natively with:
| Integration | What it does |
|---|---|
| Zapier | Connects Kajabi to thousands of other tools including Google Sheets, Slack, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, and virtually any other platform with a Zapier integration. If Kajabi does not have a native integration with something you use, Zapier almost certainly bridges the gap. |
| Stripe and PayPal | For payment processing. Both are included on all plans. |
| Google Analytics | You can add your GA4 tracking ID directly to your Kajabi site settings. |
| Facebook Pixel | Add your pixel ID in settings and track conversions from Facebook and Instagram ads through your Kajabi funnels and checkout. |
| Mailchimp | Native integration if you want to keep a separate email list outside Kajabi. |
| Zoom | For live coaching calls and webinars connected to your Kajabi memberships. |
| Calendly | For booking calls directly inside your coaching programs. |
The honest assessment is that Kajabi handles most of what creators need natively, and Zapier covers the gaps for anything more specialized. It is not as infinitely extensible as WordPress but for the use cases Kajabi is built for, courses, memberships, and digital products, the integration set is more than sufficient.
Real Examples of What People Build on Kajabi
Kajabi is used across a wide range of creator businesses. Here are the most common use cases:
Preset packs with tutorial courses attached, posing guides, behind the scenes workflows, complete photography business courses. My own Personal Branding Breakthrough course was in this category and it became the highest revenue product my business had ever produced.
One-on-one coaching with a course component, group coaching with a community, accountability memberships with monthly content drops. Kajabi's coaching product type handles scheduling, content delivery, and billing in one place.
Structured multi-module courses on any topic. Kajabi's course builder handles video hosting, progress tracking, quizzes, certificates, and student management without any additional tools.
Recurring subscription content with new material added regularly. Kajabi's membership product type handles recurring billing, content access control, and community features.
Ebooks, templates, presets, guides, and other downloadable products. Simple to set up with full checkout and email delivery handled automatically.
Kajabi has built-in podcast hosting and newsletter capabilities that some creators use as their primary content channel alongside their paid products.
Is Kajabi Free?
Kajabi is not free. There is no permanent free plan. Kajabi does periodically offer free trial periods, typically 14-30 days, which let you explore the platform before committing to a paid plan.
The most cost-effective way to get started with Kajabi right now is through the current partner offer: 3 months of Kajabi for $99 total. That works out to $33 a month, which is the closest Kajabi has come to an accessible entry price for creators who are just getting started, and it gives you far more runway than a trial would.
After the intro period, plans renew at standard pricing: Basic $179 a month, Growth $249, Pro $499. You can cancel before renewal if you decide not to continue.
For most creators who are serious about building a digital product business, the time and complexity cost of stitching together free tools exceeds the cost of a Kajabi subscription, especially at 3 months for $99.

| Kajabi vs | The short version |
|---|---|
| Teachable | Course-only. You will need a separate email tool and landing pages, plus transaction fees on lower plans. |
| Podia | Cheaper and simpler, but the automations and funnels are a fraction of Kajabi's. |
| WordPress | More flexible and cheaper on paper. Costs you the most in time, plugins, and integration failures. |
| Squarespace | A website builder, not a course platform. Not in the same category for selling courses. |
Kajabi vs Teachable
Teachable is a course-only platform. It does not include email marketing, funnels, or a full website. You will need ConvertKit or a similar tool alongside it and something for landing pages. By the time you add those tools, Kajabi is often comparable in total cost, and everything is in one place.
Teachable's transaction fees on lower plans also add up quickly. Kajabi charges zero transaction fees on all plans.
Kajabi vs Podia
Podia is Kajabi's closest competitor in the all-in-one category. It is less expensive at full price and simpler to use. The tradeoff is that Kajabi's email marketing, automation, and funnel capabilities are significantly more sophisticated. For creators who want advanced automations and are serious about launches, Kajabi is the stronger platform.
Kajabi vs WordPress
WordPress gives you more design flexibility and lower ongoing costs if you already have hosting. But WordPress requires you to stitch together separate tools for course hosting (MemberPress, LearnDash), email marketing (ConvertKit), checkout (WooCommerce), and funnels (various plugins). The ongoing maintenance, integration failures, and technical complexity add up.
I came from a WordPress setup. The time I saved by having everything in Kajabi was significant, and for most creators, time is more valuable than the cost difference.
Kajabi vs Squarespace
Squarespace is a website builder, not a course platform. It has basic digital downloads but nothing close to Kajabi's course delivery, email marketing, or funnel capabilities. If you are selling courses seriously, Squarespace is not in the same category.
The Honest Downsides
This is the only significant criticism I have of Kajabi and it is a real one. At $179 to $249 a month for the plans most people need, Kajabi is a meaningful commitment. If you are not actively selling digital products, it is hard to justify. The 3-months-for-$99 intro offer directly addresses this for your first stretch, but it is worth being honest that full price Kajabi requires you to be generating revenue.
The website builder is good but not as customizable as a fully developed WordPress site. If you need complex design control or highly custom functionality, WordPress is still the better choice for your website specifically.
Kajabi is not complicated but it is not instant either. Setting up your first pipeline or automation takes some time to figure out. The good news is Kajabi's support and documentation are genuinely excellent, it is one of the better-supported platforms I have used.
Who Should NOT Buy Kajabi
I recommend Kajabi without hesitation, but not to everyone. Skip it, for now, if:
Kajabi is a platform for launching, not for figuring out your offer. If you do not have a clear product idea yet, spend that energy getting clear first. The platform will still be here when you are.
If complex design control is your top priority, a custom WordPress build is still the better tool for the website itself. Kajabi's builder is professional and clean, but it is built for converting, not for design awards.
If the intro offer feels like a stretch, that is a sign to build your audience with free tools first and come back when you have a launch plan. Kajabi rewards people who are ready to sell.
If none of those describe you, you are exactly who this platform was built for.
My Verdict – Kajabi Review
I have made more money with Kajabi than with any other tool or product in my business. The combination of email automations, course delivery, and funnel builder working together in one platform is something I have not found replicated anywhere else at the same level.
I have made more money with Kajabi than with any other tool or product in my business.
The price is the only real argument against it, and the 3-months-for-$99 intro offer running right now removes that argument while you build and launch.
If you have a course idea, a coaching program, or expertise you want to package and sell, and you want a platform that can grow with you from your first launch to multiple six figures, Kajabi is my recommendation without hesitation.

Is there a Kajabi free trial?
