My Marie Forleo B School Review
My B School Experience
It was the very beginning of 2020 before the pandemic was a thing. I had just hit my first 6 figure year, and moved from just offering photography services for entrepreneurs to offering digital products for photographers as well.
I had been a big follower of Marie for a while, I’d read her new book, Everything is Figureoutable, and saw her speak at a Rachel Hollis event. I remember years back, probably 2017 when I first heard about B-School.
I remember reading all about the B School program and thinking it was exactly what I needed, but my jaw dropped at the price tag. I didn’t feel like I could possibly afford to pay that much for education.
The Price Tag
My thoughts on paying for education since then have completely changed, and I now regularly purchase online courses with price tags just like the one for B School because when it’s a high quality course teaching me what I need to know, my business expands to do much more than cover the cost of the education. I’m now a huge believer in finding the right courses to help me grow. There has only been one course that I’ve purchased in the past that felt like a letdown, but it was not B-School.
B School is a course that I come back to time and time again. One that has leveled up everything that I offer from what I am doing with my photography clients, how I am showing up on social media, what my website is focused on, my online marketing and even what I’m teaching about in my own online course for photographers and it has allowed me to learn how to create raving fan customers.
I do believe the price tag can feel high when you don’t know the results that you’ll see from your investment, so I’m hoping my review will help. I don’t regret my purchase at all, it has helped me and my business grow so much that this year I was able to make more than I made the year before B-School, and I only worked 20 hours a week for 6 months.
So I’m in a unique position to talk about who this will benefit because I fit the criteria for everyone coming into the course. Here’s how I will break it down. Those starting a new business, artists, online business, brick and mortar businesses.
I feel a little crazy looking at that list, but my business does all of this. It does all of this, and I’m even at the beginning stages of a brand new business completely unrelated to what I’m doing now and will use B school to ensure that I’m in love with my own business. Thank goodness B School comes with lifetime access because I will be coming back time and time again.
Just Starting A Business

This is really a blueprint for how to create a dream business that will fuel you and your passions. If you are about to start something that won’t be profitable or fulfilling B School has you covered and will let you know right from the start.
So for those of you that aren’t yet sure what you want to do for work, or are in the process of switching things up. B School will not only point you in the right direction, the rest of the course will help you build it out.
You’d pay so much more to go to business school for this information, and I swear this is more relevant and fun.
Brick And Mortar Business
For those that are offering and selling a physical product or working In a physical space, B School has you covered. The Marie Forleo’s B School will help you to build a sustainable business in a time when having a physical Brick and mortar business requires business savvy.
So for product based businesses there are guidelines in each lesson specifically laid out to help you have business success. Taking b school could be what helps you to get more sales and improve your sales process and it will show you marketing strategies that really work.
Online Business
I remember the month before I hit purchase, I did what I tend to do and researched the heck out of reviews online. I literally read every single testimonial on her website. I even went and looked into the people that had written the testimonials to see how their businesses were growing and see if I could find any disconnect in what was being said. Instead of finding flaws, I was just reassured that this was the right choice.
I not only found flourishing businesses, I realized that a few of my business crushes had gone through B-School. All of that research led me to feeling safe to invest in myself and my business.

So On To The Specifics Of B School.
First let’s talk about who B School is best for. This course is best for you if you are starting completely from scratch without a clue on what you’ll do. Honestly, the foundation that you’ll build here is what I wish I had when I first started. Oh the mistakes I could have avoided with proper guidance. This course is also for you if you’re a service based business, an artist, or a product based business.
B School is probably not great for you if you have an incredible foundation already, you have all of your offerings nailed down in a way that people are magnetized by, you know exactly what prices to offer, you know all about marketing, and you’re an online entrepreneurs already generating tons of traffic and tons of money in revenue.
You likely already have a deep understanding of everything offered in B School if that’s the case.
You probably also won’t benefit much if you need a ton of hand holding. B School gives you tools and insight into what works, but if you need a step by step guide on how to run your business, and don’t have the drive to implement after learning, then maybe you should not join B School. She gives you the tools, she doesn’t do it for you.
Think of it like going to college for business, you go to college but they aren’t giving you the job. They are teaching you what you need to know to succeed.
If that’s not you, or you struggle with any of those areas, B School is incredible at helping you to see through all the noise out there, and get down to what you really need to be focusing on to grow. There is something she mentioned at the beginning which is to go through B School and continually ask yourself, “how can I make this work for me?” and it works!
I already had a business when I started, and yet I still learned to go back and test my foundation. I already had a workflow that was “working” but B School made me take a deeper look into what I was doing so that I could restructure everything for a better client experience. After going through B School, I raised my prices, started working less, and making more.
B School also offers bonuses, and a community on Facebook.
The community on Facebook was so much fun for me! I felt like I was surrounded by so many like-minded business owners all wanting to grow, just like me. It felt like such a safe and supportive community. I am not one to post a lot on Facebook, but I really did love going into that community and asking lots of questions. I was always met with very positive feedback and responses. It felt like we were all going through it together.
There were also some bonuses that came with B School that really helped my business. A couple little nuggets from the recordings helped me to feel like I didn’t have to feel a mountain of pressure from posting all over social all the time to be a successful business. But it also inspired me to start acting more like a successful business owner despite the occasional bouts of imposter syndrome that tend to hit.
How Often Does Marie Forleo Do B-School?
B school is only open for enrollment once a year. I missed it the first time around and had to wait an entire year for it to relaunch the next time I was so ready.
Is B-School Worth It Marie Forleo?
In my opinion, absolutely, yes. I do believe that your success always depends on how much you follow through but her guiding principles and advice are so important as you create and run a business.

After going through B School I was able to take a deep dive into what I was already offering my clients with my photography and personal branding services. I was able to really change the offerings that I had so that they were more inline with what my clients really wanted. Not only that, I was able to connect with other b schoolers to help me create offerings that people loved. Since then I am working less, and making more as well as teaching what I do to other photographers.
And that’s it. My honest review! I loved the B School program, and will likely keep coming back to it any time I create a new product, come up with a new offering, or want to refresh myself on what I should be focusing on for growth.
