That’s stopping you from growing your business?
You feel like a boss in your business (because you are), but the thought of stepping in front of a camera is quite frankly the last thing you want to do. Like ever. Girlfriend, I get it. It feels incredibly vulnerable to pose for pictures. All kinds of insecurities about your looks and awkwardness come up when you even think about it. This is why I put a special emphasis on helping you feel prepared, and comfortable during your shoot. I feel that it’s my gift to show camera-shy women that they are great in pictures.
So, What is a branding shoot like?
First off, It's way more fun than most people think
On the day of the photoshoot, I’ll coach you with minute to minute posing, and give you tips so you know exactly what to do in your images. I’m a very hands on photographer and believe in the power of helping you pose. In our consultation before the photoshoot session, I’ll guide you to the perfect location, how to use props, brand style, outfits, jewelry, makeup, hairstyles, and even fingernail polish so you arrive fully prepared for your pictures and don’t have to search on your own.
After our session together, I take what I know about how you’re marketing your business to help you choose the photographs that are going to position you as a leader in your field, help you connect with dedicated, dream customers, and set you up for exponential growth. We are using photography as a marketing tool to connect you with people and save you time. You only get one chance to create that first impression online so let’s make sure it’s a good one.
Your images are a way for you to show anything from your personal style, your morning routine, the process you go through with each client, and an opportunity to show that you’re an authority on your business. Your photographs not only change the look, but the entire experience your clients have when landing on your website. It can be such a powerful tool to position business owners and entrepreneurs.
Business owners can also use their images to build relationships and create impact through story. Content marketing is simple when you receive the images you need. My goal is to make finding the right assets simple and powerful so that people remember you and your business.

I make sure that each of my photography clients considers where they really need images in a brand strategy session after answering a few targeted questions about their business and marketing goals. I use my marketing expertise to make recommendations on brand styling, props and wardrobe that will most serve your marketing efforts. Business photography should serve your business, and as a brand photographer, I work to make sure you’ve got a strategy to work with.
What would we Shoot?
Planning with your personal branding portrait photographer session as business owners starts with a questionnaire that helps to get clear on your story. To ensure that all of your personal brand photography works for you in a way that resonates with your viewers. Of course, if it’s capturing your products or service, tools of the trade, meetings, workshops, your family we want to ensure that it fits within your strategy each time.
You may want to bring props that will allow you to tell a story or share professional photography easily. We want you to have months worth of magazine worthy images full of your company’s stories. Your portraits should feature details that help to breathe life into your business and website. We have a planning meeting where we discuss potential ideas for your sessions. If those ideas resonate with you, we start talking about styling tips, and props that will give a visual boost to your personal brand photography.
For personal branding photography to start working for your small business, you’ve got to do the planning work in advance and find the right photographer. Find someone that will show you the process so that it’s easy to capture the right image for your business. If you plan each image with the ideal clients you have for your business, and your branding then your sessions will also be successful.
If you’re just getting started and have no idea how to use the pictures or what pictures you need, I’ve got you. I have a plan for capturing a variety of images that may come up in the future as well as just capturing images of you looking like the expert.

Commercial Use of the Pictures
Once you order images, you are the owner of a commercial use release. I differ from lots of photographers and photography services. I don’t request use credit for your branding photoshoot unless the image is published outside of your assets. The goal is to create conversions for small business owners, not me. After you order your favorites, I allow you to edit, add light, color, text, or filters to match your branding and marketing. The only restriction is that you cannot give the images or sell them to other businesses. My business owners have used the images they receive on book covers, billboards, on buildings, press releases and their business page.
