How to prepare for a personal branding photoshoot

How to plan a personal branding photoshoot

You know how important personal branding photography is for you and now want to know how to prepare. Telling you what to wear or how to do your hair is impossible without knowing more about your business. The way you prepare is going to be 100% unique if you’re doing this right.

I’ve created this guide to help people even if they aren’t working with me. If you have decided to book me, I’ll do all of this for you.

Do you want to come up with images that add jet fuel to your marketing in five steps? If you don’t structure it this way, your shoot is a shot in the dark, you may end up with everything you dreamed of, but probably not. These are the essential steps for planning your personal branding photoshoot.

HOW TO PLAN A PERSONAL BRANDING PHOTOSHOOT:

  1. Understand your ideal client.

  2. Write a detailed list of where you’ll use your marketing images. For example (Instagram profile, drip campaign…etc.)

  3. Decide how you want your ideal client to feel about your brand at every point of contact listed in the previous step.

  4. Choose your locations, wardrobe, and props based on how you want your client to feel.

  5. Choose a personal branding photographer that resonates with you.

That’s it! If we’re working together I’ll work through all of this with you, and tell you exactly what you need to bring, wear, and even what fingernail polishes are best on camera with all of these steps in mind.

I’ve got the perfect shot list that will help you design your photoshoot. It has checklists and fill in the blanks. You can even show the photographer you book to help them understand what you need.
